Crosley Radios & Turntables - Frequently Asked Questions
Questions before ordering? Check here first!
Crosley Radios, Turntables, Record Players, CD players and Entertainment Centers have become tremendously popular in recent months. Here are answers to some of the questions we are often asked. If you have a specific question that is not answered here or elsewhere on our site, please send us an email or call us for additional information.

Q Are the Crosley products guaranteed?
All Crosley products come with a 90 day manufacturer's warranty against defects. Maison Connoisseur offers a 10 day satisfaction guarantee on all Crosley products as long as you return the product in like new condition with the original packaging materials and all accessories. Please call for a return authorization number and shipping instructions prior to returning anything to us. This return policy is subject to the terms and conditions found elsewhere on our site. Click here for more information.

Q Can any of the Crosley products be connected to my home stereo or home theater amplifier or receiver?
A As of Jan 2003. Unfortunately, none of the Crosley products can be connected to separate receivers or amplifiers. They are intended to be "stand alone" products and consequently do not have "output" connections. The CR78CD 4-in-1 Entertainment Center does have the ability to connect to remote speakers (not included). This unit comes with an on/off switch to defeat the internal speakers when a remote connection is desired. Crosley is considering adding an output capability in the future - but there are no firm plans at this time to do so.

Are the tone arms on the Crosley turntables automatic?
All Crosley turntables are equipped with a semi-automatic tone arm. There is an on/off switch that must be activated. After placing the record on the turntable the tone arm is moved in place manually to start the turntable motor. When the record is finished, the turntable will stop turning automatically, however, the tone arm must be returned to its resting position by hand. A simple to follow set of instructions is included with each Crosley product.

Can the cassette tape players record from the radio, cd player or turntable on multi-platform machines like the cr78cd?
Currently, all Crosley radios, turntables and cd players that include tape units are equipped with playback only cassette drives. They cannot record. There have been discussions to include this feature in the future, but as of the first quarter of 2003 there are no concrete plans to do so and there is no indication if this feature will be included in the future.

Are the Crosley products sold by Maison Connoisseur recent models or last year's clearances?
Maison Connoisseur carries only the absolute latest models of the Crosley line. Unlike some retailers and e-tailers, we do not buy and sell clearances of last year's models. Nor do we sell 'blemished" or "seconds". All our merchandise is brand new, in-the-box and comes with the full manufacturer's warranty. We caution prospective buyers to be on the alert for exceptional deals on old models (which may have only 2 speed turntables and dated technologies), E-Bay sales - which are not authorized by the manufacturer and may not carry a valid warranty and sales by "brick & morter" stores that only carry select Crosley items on a seasonal basis and offer limited to no after sales support.
